We're running a 6-month experiment to understand whether constant AI companionship can reduce loneliness in elderly people.

That's not a number. That's someone's mum.
The problem
In Europe, 1 in 3 people lives alone. Most of them are elderly.
Social services can't keep up. Care homes cost thousands a month. And families — loving, busy, guilty families — can't be there every day.

What the research says
Studies show that regular social interaction measurably reduces loneliness, improves mood, and increases sense of purpose in elderly people. Even short-term programs — just 3 months — show significant results.
The question is: can AI deliver that? We don't know yet. That's exactly what we're trying to find out.

What Luza is
Luza lives on a tablet in your parent's home. She knows their name, their stories, their worries. She asks how they slept. She remembers that the cat is called Murka. She's there in the morning, in the afternoon, whenever they want to talk.
Luza is not a tool. It's a constant presence in someone's daily life.

The experiment
We're looking for families across the UK and Europe to join a 6-month experiment. Here's how it works:
We're not just building a product — we're studying behavior, usage, and emotional impact over time.
We send you a tablet with a SIM card Free
Pre-configured, ready to go. You don't pay anything. Ever.
You plug it in
That's literally it. No Wi-Fi setup, no accounts, no instructions beyond "put it on the table."
Luza starts talking to your mum every day
Morning, afternoon, whenever she wants. She starts the conversation herself.
We learn together
We'll ask you and your parent simple questions along the way. Everything we learn — anonymised, with no personal details — will be shared openly. This experiment is designed to generate real evidence about what reduces loneliness — and make those insights openly available.
No cost. No tech skills needed.
Join the experiment →Why it matters
What your family gives us becomes a gift to every family facing the same silence.
Every conversation helps us understand what truly makes elderly people feel less alone — what works, what creates real connection. That knowledge will help millions of families facing the same silence.
Why I'm doing this
My name is Daria. My grandmother lost my grandfather and was left alone. She told me she feels lonely — the TV was on, but no one was there. I love her deeply and couldn't accept that her days were just silence.
In one week, I built a companion that calls her every day. She started smiling more. But then I realised — a few calls aren't enough. She needs someone there at any moment.
My grandmother is already using Luza. Now I want to prove it can work for millions of families like ours.
